Wamakko Urges Support for Tinubu as Sokoto APC Flags Off E-Registration Exercise

The Sokoto State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday officially rolled out its electronic membership registration exercise for party members across the state, in line with directives from the party’s national headquarters.

The exercise commenced with the registration of the party leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, and was attended by a large number of party loyalists, including the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Idris Muhammad Gobir.
Held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Hall, Gawon Nama, Sokoto, the event marked the formal commencement of the e-registration exercise across the 23 local government areas of the state.
Speaking after being registered by the state party chairman, Senator Wamakko described the exercise as timely and commendable. He noted that, ideally, Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto should have been registered first, but due to the governor’s absence on lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia and the directive that the exercise must begin as scheduled, he consented to be registered as number one.
Senator Wamakko described the APC as a party for all Nigerians and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts at repositioning the country for greater progress. He applauded the president’s determination to make Nigeria competitive with other nations globally, particularly in development and human capital advancement.
*“I am personally close to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and I know what he intends for the good people of this great nation, Nigeria,” the senator said*.
*“I pray that Allah continues to guide him to move Nigeria forward, making it better and more stable for the benefit of the present and future generations.”*
He added that development cannot be achieved without challenges, urging Nigerians to understand and support the president’s good intentions for the progress of the country.
Senator Wamakko also thanked party stakeholders in the state for their sustained support, commending the state party executive, local government chairmen, party leaders at the grassroots, ministers, ambassadors and all well-meaning supporters of the APC and Sokoto State.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida, informed the gathering that following the registration of Senator Wamakko, the exercise would continue with the registration of Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, his deputy, Idris Muhammad Gobir, and other party members across the 23 local government areas.
He called for cooperation, understanding and speedy participation by members to ensure the party meets the two-week deadline set for the exercise in the state.
The ceremonial exercise also featured the registration of the Deputy Governor, Idris Muhammad Gobir; the Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi; the Minister of State for Works, Barrister Bello Muhammad Goronyo; and Ambassador-designate, Dr Kulu Haruna Abubakar.
The event was witnessed by party executives, local government chairmen, local government party chairmen and numerous party loyalists from across the state.
