HOW GOVERNOR DAUDA IS USING PUBLIC RESOURCES TO FIGHT MATAWALLE

It's becoming clearer that governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara is Deeping his hands deeper into Zamfara public resources to form teams from all walks of life to prevail on and compel President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remove the Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle from office.

He's using marabouts, religious leaders, workers and touts who he assembled and stationed in different locations especially across Northern Nigeria and some parts of the south to mobilise Nigerians against the minister by particularly using the most convincing weapon, insecurity and bandits linking them remotely directly to Matawalle.

In a confession, one of such recruits confirmed recently to have received  half a billion naira from the governor for the wanton job.

Similarly and in Zamfara State several arsenals are being deployed by the state government under governor Dauda Lawal including the release from prison of Musa Kamarawa, a notorious bandit who was arrested for gun running and other banditry related crimes on the orders of Matawalle when he was governor, only for what we suspect to be a desperate move by the state government to bring him out so that he can be used in damaging the minister which is also why the government released the completely unfounded utterances of the bandits kingpin who swore to have worked for and with Matawalle.

Otherwise, how could he have served Matawalle yet be incastrated if he wasn't found wanting and now that we suddenly saw him as a freeman and speaking in favour of governor Dauda and his PDP government, who stood in for his bail as a surety, both the state government and its judiciary must give convincing answers to these.

It isn't a hidden fact but a must prerequisite that before appointment into sensitive government positions, all relevant security agencies will openly and secretly screen and scrutinise the individual so that he's appointed on a clean slate and Matawalle was not an exception to the process, in fact, he has gone through this at different times of his political career from his homestate to the federal level.

We see Dauda once sponsoring some people from the south eastern part of the country all of whom have never been to Zamfara but were sponsored and mobilised to the National Assembly to ask for Matawalle's removal last year and  some women who were given N20 million also went to the DSS Headquarters in Abuja for the same purpose all of which woefully failed.

The fear of the PDP and governor Dauda Lawal is the likely return of Matawalle as governor in 2027, which is warming up through the defection of key PDP figures, their followers and other supporters and abandoning the incumbent governor and his cohorts who they accuse of forming a close circle cabal that have failed in protecting people's lives and properties, failed promises and high handedness while it is known that the same members of cabal are building hotels and estates in different parts of the country some of which we have provided their addresses for the public to confirm.

All the things we have always said against Dauda and his government, we have always provided evidence but when they hire their already manipulated crowds, they come shouting, without evidence, many have not been to the state and they end up fighting tooth and nails over sharing the loot at the close of the crooked business.

Matawalle's performance both politically and as Minister of Defence has been remarkable and he has effectively discharged his assigned routine and special responsibilities to the full satisfaction of our dear President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the annoyance of the failed envious detractors.

The truth shall always overwhelm all the fabricated lies, this is being reinforced by some officials of the Dauda Lawal led administration including politicians who come out to reveal staged attacks against Matawalle.

When he became governor, armed banditry had already established itself in the state in spite of frantic positive effort in tackling the menace while the new government under Matawalle initiated a peace accord with the bandits which resulted in disarmament and surrender of large cache of firearms which were handed over to the security agencies, the records are still there and open to public.

In taking the peace accord initiative, then governor Matawalle organised a stakeholders meeting with heads of security agencies, traditional and religious leaders, senior government officials, NGOs, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Civi Joint Task Force and security su organisations in attendance who made valuable contributions leading to the peace accord that led to over nine months of banditry free state where closed  weekly markets were reopened and roads considered dangerous to follow were once again freed for travellers at all times of day and night.

Most importantly, the peace accord led to the release of kidnap victims including the present governor's own brother, Yusuf Lawal who had been in captivity before Matawalle was inaugurated as governor.

Some the successful rescue of kidnap victims achieved were on 14th July 2019, 25 abductees released from Dansadau having been held by bandits since 9th April, the same year but before Matawalle was sworn-in, the release of 15 victims on July 5th, 2019, 11 victims from Maradun, Kaura-Namoda and Shinkafi local government areas simultaneously on the 7th of July, 2019, eight persons released on the 9th of July, 2019 released  to Mai-Awaki village of Dansadau area while on the 12th of July, 2019, the government secured the release of five persons abducted from the neighbouring Sokoto state.

On the 17th of July, 2019, four Mutunji residents were rescued, it remains to the credit of Matawalle, the release of 10 foreign nationals on the 26th July, 2019 and on 31st, just the following day, the release of a Korean, Dr. Jongson Eal.

On 3rd October, 2019, 10 abductees were also released to the Matawalle government by the now repentant bandits as the governor continued to secure recues of abductees including the District Heads of Wuya and Yankaba under the peace accord initiative.

Similarly, twice has the most notorious bandit kingpin, Bello Turji come out through video clips to deny being sponsored by Matawalle, first while Matawalle was governor and recently, as the Minister of State for Defence but the charlatans do not want to spread this to the world because it will expose their envy and lies against the minister.

Security agencies, the National Judicial Council, the NBA and civil society organisations should come and ensure the investigation of how the notorious bandit, Musa Kamarawa was released from detention to come as a free man and defend governor Dauda when his case is not over.

All thanks are due to the Almighty Allah for not letting Matawalle alone as he has since sworn by the Holy Qur’an that if he has anything to do with bandits or their activities in anyway, Allah should not give his heart's desires and he equally challenged the Dauda's to do same but they vehemently refused, so Nigerians should know who's doing what.

Recall that when the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga girls in Kebbi State were kidnapped and President Tinubu directed Matawalle to relocate to Kebbi and coordinate their safe rescue, Gov Dauda and his team condemned it and urged the president not to assign the responsibility on Matawalle but in less than a week after his arrival in company of the military, Matawalle successfully coordinated the safe return of all 25 victims and handed them over to the Kebbi state governor, Idris for onward handover to the loving arms of their parents.
