The need has been advocated for Households and women in the state to make best use of the second round of maternal, NewBorn and Child Health Week flag off today in the state.
A member of social Behaviour Change Advocacy core group, Malam Bashir Buhari made a call at the flag off ceremony of the programme.
Malam Bashir Buhari said this was in view of the importance of the week where drugs are being distributed free to women between the ages of fifteen and above as well as to children from six month to five years.
According to them, the SBC AGC Group which comprises Traditional leaders, Islamic scholars and Health personnel would intensify efforts towards enlightening people on the significance of taking good care of one's health.
The SBC-ACG member quoted some verses from the glorious Quran and prophetic traditions which categorically spoke on the benefit of seeking for health.
AIso speaking, a member of the group Malam Isah Abdulsalam said the main objective of the group was to mobilize people to seek for health from the Islamic perspective and the obligation of seeking for health from the Islamic perspective.
Malam Isah Abdulsalam then called on people to imbibe the habit of visiting hospitals for medical check-up to know their health status.
This he noted was to enable them to perform their acts of worship comfortably.
