NATIONAL ADC APPOINTS ZAMFARA STATE CONGRESS COMMITTEE
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Leadership has formally announced the appointment of the Zamfara State Congress Committee to oversee and coordinate the forthcoming party congresses in Zamfara State.
The appointment, conveyed through the office of the National Organizing Secretary, is part of the party’s preparations for the scheduled congresses at the Polling Unit, Ward, Local Government, and State levels.
The committee is to be chaired by Mohamed Mainasara, with the following members:
- Amb. Zubairu Yelwa, Mni – Secretary
- Shehu Muhd Maishanu – Member
- Dr. Ahmad Hashim – Member
- Mal. Muhammadu Bako – Member
According to the approved timetable issued by the National Secretariat, the congress activities are scheduled as follows:
- Screening: 7 April 2026
- Appeals on Screening: 8 April 2026
- Congress for Polling Units, Wards, LGAs and election of one National Delegate: 9 April 2026
- Appeals on Congresses: 10 April 2026
- State Congress and election of 12 National Delegates: 11 April 2026
- Appeals over State Congress: 12 April 2026
The National body has mandated the committee to ensure that the entire process is conducted in strict accordance with the party constitution and guidelines, with emphasis on fairness, transparency, accountability, and internal democracy.
The Zamfara State Chapter calls on all party members, stakeholders, and aspirants to cooperate fully with the committee to ensure a peaceful, credible, and successful congress exercise.
