Some governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are reportedly exploring contact with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) amid concerns over the political activities of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Wike, who is leading the emerging Rainbow Coalition in support of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, has maintained that the group’s backing for the President does not extend to APC candidates contesting governorship and legislative election.
