The African Democratic Congress has officially kicked off its 2027 race, pegging presidential nomination forms at N100 million and fixing May 25, 2026, for its presidential primary. Spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi said the timetable reflects the party’s commitment to “internal democracy, orderliness, and strict compliance with the Electoral Act.”
Form sales run May 5–10, with submission due by May 13. Screening holds May 14–15, and the final list of cleared aspirants drops May 20. Ward-level primaries for Assembly, Reps, and Senate seats are set for May 21, followed by governorship on May 22 and the presidential contest on May 25.
Other fees: N50m for governor, N20m for Senate, N10m for Reps, and N3m for State Assembly. The ADC announced a 50% discount for youths and 25% for women and persons with disabilities. A Special National Convention on May 27 will ratify all candidates ahead of the 2027 polls.
