Former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, joined family members, friends and associates at the funeral prayers for the late Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi Romo in Sokoto on Sunday evening.
Alhaji Romo passed away on Sunday morning at a hospital in Abuja and was subsequently laid to rest in Sokoto.
The late Romo was a seasoned administrator who retired as a Permanent Secretary in the Sokoto State Civil Service after a distinguished career spanning several ministries, departments and agencies.
Senator Tambuwal recalled Romo’s service as Executive Secretary of the Sokoto State Primary Health Care Development Agency during his administration as Governor of Sokoto State.
The former governor extended his condolences to the deceased’s family, friends and associates. He prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive Romo’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdausi and give all those mourning his passing the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
