Sultan Of Sokoto Commissions Jumu'at Mosque In Zamfara, Urges Nigerians To Pray For Leaders To Tackle Insecurity

The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has called on Nigerians to pray for leaders at all levels in tackling insecurity and other socio-economic challenges facing the country.
The Sultan made the call in Gusau on Friday while commissioning Sambo Dan Ashafa a Jumu’at Mosque reconstructed by Governor Dauda Lawal.
He said, leaders are doing their best in tackling insecurity that bedeviled the country’s socio-economy, particularly northern Nigeria.
The Sultan also commended Governor Lawal for his huge investment in religious institutions and urged him to sustain the tempo.
Also speaking, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir said leaders of Zamfara State have been wonderful right from the first civilian Governor, as Sharia and Islamic institutions were given priority and adequate development.
Jingir described the reconstruction of five major Jumu’at Mosques in Gusau as a huge investment in the institutions of Islam.
In his remarks, Governor Dauda Lawal appreciated Islamic scholars who graced the occasion and appealed to the Mosque Committee to ensure effective maintenance of the facility.
The four other mosques undergoing reconstruction and nearing completion are Rabi’a Mosque, Tudun Wada Mosque, Zawiyya Mosque and Gusau Central Jumu’at Mosque.
