Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has fired shots at Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso ahead of 2027:
“Peter Obi and Kwankwaso are working for Tinubu like they did in 2023. Don’t waste your votes again on them like 2023. A vote for them is a vote for Bola Tinubu and the APC. They know exactly what they are doing.”
Adeyanju said in 2023, Obi and Kwankwaso split opposition votes and gifted Tinubu presidency. Atiku had 6.9M, Obi 6.1M, Kwankwaso 1.4M – combined over 14M votes vs Tinubu’s 8.7M, but division made APC win.
He argued same script is playing out in 2027 with the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket under NDC, which he claims is only designed to divide votes and help Tinubu return.
“Who benefits when Obi runs? Tinubu. They pretend to be opposition but they are APC’s biggest assets.”
Deji has been a strong supporter of Atiku/ADC coalition and has repeatedly said only a united opposition can defeat Tinubu.
