INEC CONFESSES OF TECHNICAL GLITCH
INEC says there will be no repeat of the technical glitches that marred the 2023 general elections.
Speaking to staff from the South-East in Enugu, Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan said credible elections depend not just on technology and logistics but on the integrity of the officials conducting them. He spoke on how the 2023 glitch damaged the commission’s reputation.
The Enugu visit is part of INEC’s 2027 readiness assessment, and Amupitan says the commission is on track. He also warned staff against misinformation and said anyone who undermines the polls will face consequences.
