President Kware local government students association Aminu Umar Hamma’ali expressed dismay at the nonchalant attitudes of some notable individuals of the area towards supporting students of kware origin studying in different tertiary institutions of the country.
Aminu Umar Hamma Ali expressed dismay during an annual meeting of the Kware local government student association held at Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Kware.
"Despite the vast number of politicians, business men, and other stakeholders in the area, it is worrisome for them to disobey themselves in giving back to their youngest one".
"Since the revival of the association in 2017 the association has done so much in education development in Kware despite the nonchalant attitudes of some notable individuals of the area towards supporting students, the youngest one", he added.
According to him, as part of the association's week-long activities year, the association has conducted quiz competitions to all secondary schools under kware local government, series of lectures among others.
While describing education development as a responsibility of all and should not be left for the government alone.
A lecturer in the department of English and Linguistics Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto Dr. Mansur Isa Buhari explained the amount of money spent by the government to pay WAEC and NECO which can be used to provide desks for over sixty thousand students.
He added that one of the major reasons why Nigeria keeps producing graduates who cannot solve solutions to Nigeria's challenges is as a result of adopting foreign languages as means of learning.
