Kebbi State Governor, His Excellency Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, has picked Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Augie (planner) as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.
The Governor announced the choice today, describing Ibrahim Planner as a loyal and grassroots-oriented leader with the experience, integrity and commitment required to support his administration’s vision for Kebbi State.
According to the Governor, the selection reflects his commitment to strengthening unity, ensuring continuity and consolidating the gains recorded by his administration since assuming office.
He expressed confidence that Ibrahim Augie’s experience and strong grassroots connections would further enhance the administration’s capacity to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
The Governor said the partnership would focus on strengthening governance, promoting peace and accelerating development across the 21 local government areas of Kebbi State.
The choice of Ibrahim Augie is expected to further consolidate the administration’s political and grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 elections, while reinforcing its commitment to inclusive development and effective representation of the people.
