The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya (Walin Sokoto), has congratulated Hon. Bello Isah Ambarura on his emergence as the party’s Deputy Governorship Candidate for the 2027 general elections. Hon. Dan’iya described the development as a significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the elections and expressed confidence that the ADC now presents a formidable, experienced, and people-oriented ticket capable of delivering purposeful leadership to the people of Sokoto State.
In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Aminu Abdullahi, the ADC gubernatorial candidate commended the leadership of the party, its elders, and stakeholders for the confidence reposed in Hon. Ambarura. He noted that the consensus reached in adopting the current Deputy Governorship Candidate reflects the maturity, unity, and internal democracy that continue to distinguish the ADC as a party committed to collective decision-making and the advancement of the state’s interests above personal ambitions.
Hon. Dan’iya described Hon. Bello Isah Ambarura as a seasoned administrator, accomplished legislator, and respected public servant whose years of experience in both the executive and legislative arms of government would add immense value to the ADC ticket. He noted that Hon. Ambarura rose through the ranks of the Sokoto State Civil Service to become a Permanent Secretary before serving as Commissioner for Commerce and Industries. He further highlighted his tenure as Majority Leader of the Sokoto State House of Assembly between 2019 and 2023 and his current representation of the Illela/Gwadabawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives as evidence of his competence, leadership, and commitment to public service.
The ADC governorship candidate stated that the combination of his own experience in governance and financial management with Hon. Ambarura’s distinguished record in public administration and legislative leadership provides Sokoto State with a balanced and credible team capable of addressing the state’s developmental challenges. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to implementing policies that will prioritise security, quality education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, agricultural development, economic growth, infrastructural renewal, and transparent governance for the benefit of all citizens.
Hon. Dan’iya congratulated Hon. Ambarura on his nomination and urged him to remain steadfast, humble, and committed to the ideals of the party as they embark on the task of engaging the people of Sokoto State ahead of the 2027 elections. He also called on all party leaders, members, supporters, and stakeholders across the 23 Local Government Areas to close ranks and work together in unity, stressing that the success of the ADC would depend on collective sacrifice, discipline, and grassroots mobilisation.
The gubernatorial candidate expressed profound appreciation to the Leader of the ADC in Sokoto State, Senator Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, as well as other party elders and stakeholders, for their guidance and commitment throughout the consultation process that produced the deputy governorship candidate.
