Governor Nasir Idris Condoles Family of Late Justice Umar Atu Kalgo, JSC
The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Justice Umar Atu Kalgo, a retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, in Sokoto.
During the visit, Governor Idris described the late Justice Kalgo as a man of integrity, honesty, patriotism, and exceptional commitment to justice, noting that his death was a great loss to Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Governor commiserated with the family, prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, and asked Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus as his final abode.
The late Justice Umar Atu Kalgo, who passed away recently, was a respected jurist, retired Supreme Court Justice, and patriotic leader whose contributions to the development of Kebbi State and Nigeria would remain memorable.
Responding, the deceased’s eldest son, Sadiq Umar Atu, expressed appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for the condolence visit. He prayed for the Governor’s continued success and progress in his administration.
The Governor was accompanied on the visit by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida; Head of Service, Alhaji Malami Shekare, mni; Commissioner for Justice, Professor Junaidu Marshall; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Dutsinmari Abubakar Umar; Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Auwal Manu Dogondaji; Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security, Haliru Aliyu Wasagu; Director-General, Protocol; and other senior government officials.
