On behalf of my family, associates and the good people of Sokoto, I warmly felicitate with His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.
Attaining the age of 70 is a remarkable milestone and a reflection of a life devoted to faith, service, leadership and the advancement of humanity. His Eminence’s years on the throne of the Sultanate have been marked by wisdom, dignity and a deep sense of responsibility to the Ummah, Sokoto State and Nigeria.
As the spiritual leader of Muslims in Nigeria, His Eminence has consistently used his esteemed position to promote peace, unity, religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians of different faiths, ethnic backgrounds and social orientations. His commitment to dialogue and reconciliation, particularly during moments of national difficulty, remains a source of inspiration to many.
The Sultan’s leadership has also continued to preserve the rich heritage and dignity of the Sokoto Caliphate while responding to the demands of contemporary society. His voice for justice, compassion, mutual understanding and the welfare of the people has earned him respect far beyond the boundaries of Sokoto State and Nigeria.
On this special occasion, I pray Almighty Allah to grant His Eminence continued sound health, wisdom, strength and peace, and to bless him with many more fruitful years in the service of Islam, humanity, Sokoto State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. May Allah continue to guide and protect him, strengthen the Sultanate and grant him the wisdom and fortitude to discharge his responsibilities with distinction.
