Business Mogul Urges Sokoto Government  To Lease Sokoto Central Market To Him
 
 
 

 

THE Managing Director  Al-Mas'ud Oil and Gas Ltd, Mas'ud Musa Bashir(Danmusa) says he is ready to buy the Sokoto Central Market owned by the state government to make it more vibrant , beneficial and profitable for the economic development of the state and country at large.

 
Similarly,  Bashir pledged to allow the already existing business men and women with stalls in the market to continue with their legitimate businesses if he seals the deal with the State Government.
 
The politician, business man and seasoned entrepreneur made the disclosures in a chat with reporters in Sokoto. 
 
He said his move to buy the market was to further his vision for the economic prosperity of Sokoto state.
 
" It is devoid of tribal or political sentiment but to improve and boost business development in line with my vision and mission to enable opportunities for young men and women to engage in hitch free legitimate businesses.
 
" Buying the markets an indigene will He further observed that if he himself as an indigene of make it easier for occupants of the stalls to  continue with their legitimate business without stress or cause to worry", he stressed.
 
Bashir explained further while pointing out that people of the state should understand his intention and focus towards boosting the state economy, adding " note that it's not meant to tarnish the image of any individual or group but rather it's done with good intentions to promote socio economic development and growth of Sokoto State.
 
" If given the mandate to acquire the market, I will   work in synergy with   business men and women more especially at this time where states are looking forward to getting means  to diversify sources of income so as to avoid relying on federal government allocation to States."
