APC Mourns Wife of Former Zamfara Deputy Governor, Hajiya Hauwa’u Wakkala
The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Hajiya Hauwa’u Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, wife of a former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad.
A statement issued on Saturday by the APC Publicity Secretary in the state, Yusuf Idris Gusau, said Hajiya Hauwa’u passed away on Saturday evening at a private hospital in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, with her husband and other family members by her side.
According to the party, the burial is scheduled to take place at 2:30pm on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Gusau, Zamfara State, in accordance with Islamic rites. The APC prayed that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings and grants her eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
The party also extended its condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Zamfara State, the Gusau Emirate, former governors Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar and Bello Mohammed Matawalle Maradun, as well as members of the APC family, praying for strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
