Zamfara Youths Protest Against Auction Of State Vehicles

Thousands of youths have stormed and barricaded the entrance of High court 2 in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital over planned auction of state government vehicles.
The peaceful protest started as early as 9:00 am with the youths men and women carrying placards with different inscribtions showing displeasure over the auction of zamfara state Vehicles to settle dept owed by a contracting company.
Speaking to newsmen on behalf of the teeming youths who blocked the Court entrance Alhaji Aminu Atiku said, they are at the Court premesis to protest against the sales of government properties.
He added that they are tied of auctioning of the Vehicles, because the Vehicles belong to the people of Zamfara state most especially youth.
According to him, this is how the past government of Hon, Abdul Aziz Yari Abubakar allowed a Court auctioned so many Vehicles that are procured for the use of the people of the state particularly youths.
"Therefore at this crucial time we will no longer allow this thing to happen again, instead the government shall find another way to sattle the dept it inherited.
"We are all aware that the present government under our able leader Governor Bello Muhmmed Matawalle has inherited this dept, therefore the Court is suppose to comfiscate all properties that belong to the deptor not Matawalle" he concluded.
