Zamfara PDP Holds Guber Primaries As Dauda Emerges Winner With 422 Votes

Following the nullification of  Zamfara state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries by a Federal  High Court sitting in Gusau, fresh governorship  primary elections were conducted tody at the state secretariat of the in the state capital Gusau.


 At the conclusion of the excersice, Dauda Lawal Dare emerged victorious with total of 422 votes, defeating his opponents, Hon Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye Gusau who got only 1 vote, and Alhaji  Hafiz Nahuce 1, and 4  invalid votes.

 

Announcing the results immidiatly after the excersice, the electoral commitee chairman sent from PDP national headquaters,  Mr Felix Hassan said, they are in Gusau the Zamfara state capital to conduct primary election following the dissolution of PDP governorship contestants.


He said, the election was conducted in an orderly manner, and was free and fair, adding that all the 3 contestants have their representative around to monitor the election.


 Mr, Felix cautioned the loosers t0 embibe spirit of good sportsmanship,  and bear in mind that in every contest, there must be a winner and looser.


"I am calling on you to take the defeat in good faith, come and  join the winner for the success of our great party in the forthcoming general elections. He concludes.
