Zamfara PDP Central Senatorial Primaries:Bilbis Emerges Victorious

Former minister of information and culture, Hon, Ikira Bilbis has today emerged winner at the just concluded PDP zamfara central senatorial primary election.


Ikra Aliyu Bilbis  scored 114 votes, while his opponents  Lawal Barau Bungudu got 17 votes, and Dr. Na Allah Isa Mayana got 2 votes respectively.


Announcing the results, the primary election committee chairman sent to the state by the national headquarters of the PDP, Kabiru Usman said, the election was conducted free and fair.


Briefing Journalists shortly after the election, the former information minister, of information Honorable Ikra Aliyu Bilbis thanked Almighty Allah for his mercy who made his dream as reality, and delagates who make a wise choice, he said his primary concern if elected to represent the state in the National Assembly is how to end banditry in the state.

"If pwople of my conatituency  elected i will do everything possible to see how to end banditry activities in the state which has claimed several lives and rendered many farmers jobless”.sais Bilbis.

He appealed to the electorates  in the state to make a wise decision and use their votes to elect good leaders who would not abandon them after the election.
