Zamfara NUJ Correspondents Chapel Honors Yari For His Service To Humanity

The Zamfara state chapter of Nigeria Union Of Journalists, NUJ Correspondent Chapel has today honoured former Governor of Zamfara state, Hon. Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar with a distinguished Media Golden Award of Excellence in recognition of his humanitarian services.
Speaking during the presentation of the award, the Chapel Chairman, Alhaji Sani Haruna Dutsinma said, the award was based on his humanitarian contributions to the socio-economic development, peace and community relationship before and after leaving the office as executive Gorvernor of Zamfara state.
Dutsinma added that, his members has observed with great concern the former Governor despite not holding any political or public office remained committed in helping his people towards their social wellbeing.
“We deem it necessary to recognize this great act of humanity with a token gift of recognition which will serve as moral boaster” He said
Zonal Secretary, Zone A of the Union Comrade Abdurrazak Bello Kaura performed the decoration and presentatation of the award.
In a vote of thanks, former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari expressed appreciation to the members of the Correspondent Chapel for the gesture and maintaining the existing cordial relationship.
He assured to remain committed in the service to humanity and social wellbeing of his people.
The presentation of the award which took place at the residence of the former Governor in Talata Mafara was attended by members of the Correspondents Chapel, representatives of Media Organisations in the state, supporters of the former Governor and some of his close associates.
