The Zamfara state chapter of All Progressive Congress has today held it's local government congress across the state.
The congress held today is said to have been parallel as the Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa faction held their own Congress across the state and elected leaders to run the affairs of the party.
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state under Sen.Kabiru Marafa led faction has lauded security agencies in the state over peaceful conduct of the local government congresses of the party in the state.

Speaking at a news conference in Gusau on Saturday, the leader of Marafa APC-led faction, Sirajo Maikatako said the local government congresses of the faction held peacefully and successful.
"We appreciate our delegates from the 147 wards of the state who participated in the exercise across the 14 local governments in the state.
"We extend our appreciation on behalf of the entire Senator Kabiru Marafa loyalists in the state to Independent Electoral Election Commission (INEC) officials and security agencies in the state for their coverage which led to peaceful conduct of the congresses", he said.
Maikatako urged members of the party in the state to always remain calm and law-abiding for the peaceful co-existence in the state.
