The Attorney general and Minister for Justice Abubakar Chika Malami SAN, has described the chairman Senate Committee on Defense, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as a father and political leader.
Malami was speaking on Monday when he visited senator Wamakko at his Gawon Nama Residence sokoto on Sallah Homage.
The Minister informed the Senator that he was on transit to Abuja and deemed it imperative to call on senator Wamakko as a mark of respect and loyalty according to tradition.
Malami further explained that," he came to Wamakko to rejoice with him as their political father, leader and Distinguished senator".
He Expressed happiness on the caliber of people seen at senator Wamakko's residence that came for similar Sallah homage.
Minister Malami thanked senator Wamakko for the Condolence message extended to him over the demise of his four childhood friends who died last week Thursday in a ghastly car accident on their way to Kebbi state from Abuja for Sallah festival.
The Minister thanked Senator Wamakko for the reception accorded him during the visit.
Earlier, while receiving the Minister and his Entourage, senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko expressed shock over the death of the Minister's friends.
The senator described the deceased persons as humble, friendly and respected individuals, saying that the huge vacuum had really been created by the demise of the Said close associates of the Minister.
Senator Wamakko prayed to almighty Allah to forgive the deceased all their sins and give the Minister the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The senator used the visit to congratulate the Minister as he added a new wife into his family last week.
He thanked the Minister for the visit and prayed to Allah to take them back to their destination safely.
Special prayer for the repose of the departed Souls was offered by Mallam Bashir Gidan Kanawa during the visit.
The Minister was accompanied on the visit by the former Deputy Governor of Kebbi state Alh. Bello Dantani Magaji, Executive Director Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority Alh.Faruk Madugu.
