Unspecified number of bandits were killed as a result of a heavy fight between two bandits  rival groups.

The exchange of fire confrontation occurred in the evening on Saturday and lasted for hours  around  Tabkin kazai and Hayin Alhaji towns of Tsafe local government areas of Zamfara state.

Some of the residents of the areas who spoke to our reporter unveiled that a group of bandits from neighboring Katsina state invaded Tabkin kazai , Hayin Alhaji and Yanwaten Daji communities of the state and took away people's property .

But the powerful and notorious bandits’ kingpin Ado Alero who is an indigene of the area mobilised his followers to the scenes with  an intention of salvaging the locals from the harmful attacks by the  neighbouring katsina state  bandits thereby engaging them with extensive gun fight.

They added that the faction of Ado Alleru won the battle as unspecified bandits from other factions were neutralised and burnt down to ash most of their corpses while the remaining corpses were buried the following day  by locals .

One of the locals who witnessed the burial said he counted about twenty corpses in one hall while there were many halls dug for the mass burial.

Besides dozens of motorcycles, many firearms were confiscated by Ado Alleru's faction from another rival's faction.
