In a recent discussion about the upcoming 2027 elections, El-Rufai stated:
“Bola Tinubu won’t be on the ballot in 2027 when a runoff is called. I’ve assessed his chances, and he’ll finish 3rd.”
He went on to compare this situation to former President Goodluck Jonathan’s loss in 2015, despite having the support of the Army, Police, and INEC.
“Jonathan had the Army, the Police, and INEC backing him, yet he lost the 2015 election. Tinubu will face the same fate.”
