Three Niger Former Executives Drags Colleagues To Court For Defamation

Three Former Niger State All Progressives Congress Executives have dragged their colleagues to Chief Magistrate Court Bosso for an alleged conspiracy and defamation of character.
In a joint suit the State Former APC Chairman, Jibrin Imam, Secretary Barrister Muhammed Liman and Treasurer, Doctor Shaffi’i Abdulsalam, accused the State Former Party Acting Executives for conspiring and maliciously publishing and granting interviews alleging that they misappropriated the State party funds.
The Duo prayed that the court to take into cognizance of the offences contrary to section ninety-seven and three hundred and ninety two of the Penal Code Law and tried the accused persons accordingly.
Similarly, Lawyer to the defendants, Barrister Bukani, raised Preliminary objections that his clients were not personally served with court summon, adding that his complainants have another case in court seven, which he said is an off shoot of the court.
The complainants lawyer, Barrister Leri, told the court that the presence of the accused persons was necessary considering the criminal case against them.
The Chief  Magistrate Court, Ibrahim Shaba, however adjourned for tomorrow for further hearing.
