SOKOTO TO BEGIN AIRLIFT OF ITS PILGRIMS TUESDAY

Airlift of the Sokoto state pilgrims back home is to commence tomorrow Tuesday.

Director General of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar disclosed this in an interview with our Hajj Baitillah correspondents in Saudi Arabia.

He said to that effect, all arrangements had been completed to ensure a successful airlift,

According to him, pilgrims from Gada local government that came in the first flight would be the first to be airlifted home.

He explained that,  arrangements for the airlift during the inaugural exercise would be followed during the conveyance of the pilgrims back home.

Alhaji Ibrahim Umar maintained that, the pilgrims from Gada would be transported to the Jeddah international airport today for the impending journey back to Sokoto state.

It will be recall, that  pilgrims from parts of the world completed their Hajj rituals with the stoning of Jamrat last Friday.

Meanwhile reports have indicated, Pilgrims Welfare Agencies from various states are intensifying preparations for the arlift of their pilgrims back home after completing this year's Hajj exercise.
