Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, has approved the early payment of February salaries to all civil servants across the state, effective tomorrow, Friday, February 13, 2026.
The payment covers workers in the State Civil Service, Local Government Councils, Local Government Education Authorities, and pensioners.
According to the Director General Media and Publicity to the Governor, Malam Abubakar Bawa, the decision aims to enable workers and retirees to prepare adequately for Ramadan and commence the fast with ease.
He noted that the gesture reflects the governor’s commitment to the welfare of civil servants and senior citizens.
Malam Bawa urged civil servants to reciprocate the government’s gesture by being punctual, diligent, and dedicated in their duties.
He emphasized that improved commitment and productivity are essential to enhancing effective service delivery and driving sustainable development across the state.
