Sokoto First Lady in Ebonyi for NGSF's Quarterly Meeting and Annual Retreat

The wife of Sokoto State Governor Her Excellency Hajiya Fatima Ahmed Aliyu joined other First Ladies for the 3rd Quarterly Meeting and Annual Retreat of the Nigeria Governors' Spouses Forum (NGSF) in Ebonyi State.
The forum reviewed its achievements so far and made some resolutions, including the adoption of six months of paid maternity leave.
The initiative will involve engaging state Governors and State Legislatures to promote and implement this policy.
Furthermore, the forum reiterated its unwavering commitment to combating Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) at the state level and endorsed the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) initiative, with a focus on sensitizing the wives of Local Government Chairmen about the vaccine and raising awareness about cancer prevention.
The successful retreat was presided over by the forum's Chairperson and Kwara State First Lady, Her Excellency, Professor Olufolake Abdulrazaq.
