The Senator represented by Former Kano State Deputy Governor Prof. Hafiz Abubakar said, the empowerment of the film industry became pertinent so as for them to improve on their trade and also to always portray the good heritage of the region. He noted that the empowerment of the Kannywood members will also be extended to other sector in the State. Reports say that some of the empowerment items are 17 cars, 100 Motorcycle and equipment that include, 80 Computers, Cameras, Lightening equipment and so on. The beneficiaries were full of praises for the lawmaker, for considering Kannywood members among those to be empowered in the scheme of support to enhance their trade.

Senator representing Kano North Senatorial district, Barau Jibrin has appealed to Kannywood stars to utilize their talents to show case the rich socio-cultural heritage of the North.
Senator Barau Jibrin made the call over the weekend while empowering members of the Kannywood industry.
The Senator represented by Former Kano State Deputy Governor Prof. Hafiz Abubakar said, the empowerment of the film industry became pertinent so as for them to improve on their trade and also to always portray the good heritage of the region.
He noted that the empowerment of the Kannywood members will also be extended to other sector in the State.
