Residents Of Anguwan Dallatu Protest Against The Relocation Of Dogon Gida, Yan Gwangwani To Uncompleted Propsed Secretariat

The residents of Unguwar Dallatu in Gusau metropolis have today kicked against the relocation of small scale traders operating at Dogon Gida, and Yan Gwangwani from their domiciled location to uncompleted proposed Gusau local government secretariat at Unguwar Dallatu, by Zamfara state government.

 
 
Speaking to journalists, the chairman of Unguwar Dallatu Community, Alhaji Bashiru Muhammed  said, originally they requested for the conversion of the abandoned secrtariat to primary and junior secondary schools for the benefit of the residents, and the state deputy Governor senator Hassan Muhammed Nasiha is quite aware of the move.
 
 
"He directed us to write a request with regard to  our need to convert the proposed uncompleted local government secretariat, which we did and submitted the request to the authority concern"
 
 
 The chairman noted that, to their great surprise they only heard that the place was given to Yan gwangwani and Dogon Gida, which have started visiting the site for construction, that means they down turned our request.
 
 
When contacted, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Urban and Regional planning, Hon. Anas A. Kaura said that the site was given to the group temporarily untill the State government finds a permanent site for them.
 
 
Hon. Kaura assured that the State government would still construct primary and junior secondary schools as requested by members of the community.
 
 
"I am appealing to them to calm down as their request was part of State government agenda to give top prioriy to education sector"
