POS Banking Agents appreciates CBN on Naira cash out in Jigawa

Some POS Banking Agents made an exciting day as the Central Bank of Nigeria facilitate their transaction business with commercial banks in Jigawa state.

Each Agent is entitled to Five hundred thousand naira par day in the state and to be given out Ten thousand naira (N10,000) only par individual at their stall location.

This programme covers the 27 local government of the state with a view to make life easy for the rural communities in accessing new naira notes.

The programme aimed at ensuring cashless policy had recorded tremendous archievemnet in the state as a result of the enlightenment that is taking place in Radio and Television stations across the state and the naira swap by the CBN.

Abubakar Yusuf of Tsirma community said CBN has made him so prominent and well known to people as a result of the five hundred thousand naira approval to them to disburse it in their communities.

He said his people appreciate the gesture because of the Money being given by commercial banks.

Yusuf said despite the long que, he used to get the said amount every day for his people. " I used to charge only a hundred naira for Ten thousand naira" he said.

Nura Ibrahim from Kiyawa local government said though the Money is too small but people appreciate the Ten thousand naira they get from us, because is hardly to get money in Banks because of the long que.

"Today a collected five hundred thousand naira in my zenith bank account because I am it's agent, but within hours I finished the money, and I only give Ten thousand naira par individual" he said.

Also another agent Adamu Ibrahim Andaza community, said he enjoyed the gesture because they were given priority, their people also appreciate their business.

" If not because of this some people don't value our business, but now people like our business and they are always rushing to come and get their cash" he said.

The CBN team leader Abdu Amadu said they innitiated this programme to assist the rural communities and ensure that people didn't suffer more. " We are also swapping old Naira notes to new naira notes so that people would not lose their currency before the old Naira dead line".

He said CBN it's trying it best to see that pepe would not suffer and lose their money as a result of new naira and cashless policies.

Amadu called on the entire people to open their bank account and embrace cashless policy for their good and economic development in the country.

The local governments that captured on Friday includes Gwaram, Roni, Gwiwa and a community Kila under Gwaram local government.

Other locations,  Ringim, Gwiwa, 'Yan kwashi, Birniwa, Malam Madiro, Roni, Kiyawa, Andaza.

Andaza and Kiyawa  4 agent, Kila and Gwaram 5 agents, Roni and Gwuiwa 4 agents, Ringim and Sankara 5 agents among others.
