POLITICAL TSUNAMI HAS AGAIN HITS PDP IN SOKOTO AS CLOSE TO 7000 SUPPORTERS JOIN APC IN WURNO AND KWARE LGs AS AHMAD ALIYU SAYS HE IS ON RESCUE MISSION TO SALVAGE THE STATE FROM THE SHACKLES OF PDP
As 2023 General Elections are past approaching, more PDP supporters in Sokoto state are dumping the party for APC, saying that PDP has failed in all sectors of developments.
This followed the massive decamping that has continued to hit the ruling PDP in sokoto state.
APC Gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto while in Wurno local government received over 4,270 PDP supporters who defected to APC in the area.
Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto expressed satisfaction on the large number of PDP supporters that dumped the party for APC, indicating," there is light at the end of the tunnel."
Ahmad Aliyu, on behalf of APC leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko assured the defectors of equal treatment.
He said, if elected as Governor in the state, he will continue from the giant strides of former governor of Sokoto state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
He pledged to reconstruct Huchi road which was damaged by flood, if elected as Governor come 2023 polls.
Ahmad Aliyu explained that, PDP in the state has failed woefully as non of the promises made was fulfilled to the people of the state.
APC Chairman in the state, Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida, while welcoming the defectors into APC said the party is always ready to carry all along to ensure its victory at all levels.
Similarly, over 1,400 PDP loyalists have joined APC at Achida town of Wurno local government, the home town of the state APC Chaimran, Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida.
Wurno APC local government Chairman, Alhaji Musa Marnona, explained that, on their part, they will continue to work hard for the success of the party in the area.
Bashar Abubakar S.A New Media to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko in his statement signed by him said While in Gidan Rugga Ward of Kware local government, 1,000 PDP supporters were received into APC.
Several defectors who spoke on why they dumped PDP for APC said PDP lacked focus and directions to rule the state.
They described APC leadership in the state under Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as trustworthy and accommodative.
They also promised to continue to support the party to ensure the victory of its candidates at all levels.
Multitude of APC leaders, candidates and stalwarts attended the separate epochal occasions among which were the APC Deputy Gubernatorial candidate Hon Idris Muhammad Gobir, APC Sokoto East Senatorial Candidate Alhaji Ibrahim Lamido Isa and Former Ambassador Abubakar Shehu Wurno as well as other important dignitaries.
