Pension Board pays a Total of N1.5b to 474 October 2022 Retirees in Jigawa

The Jigawa state and local government contributory pension scheme board have paid a total of N1,053,876,905.99 to 474 October 2022 retirees and death beneficiaries in the state.
The executive secretary of the board Kamilu Aliyu Musa made the statement in a press briefing in Dutse on Tuesday.
Musa said for retirement benefits a total of N248,872,348.86 to 105 state government and 95 local government council retirees received a total of N135,468,646.25 while the sum of N485,386,827.12 to 190 local government education authority retirees.
On the death benefits the executive secretary said 21 families of state retirees received the sum of N70,218,696.34 and 19 families of LGC retirees a total of N33,515372.00 also 19 families of LGEA received the sum of N53,770,798.00.
The death pension balance according to the executive secretary of 9 state families is N13,748,257.80 for LGC 11 families the sum of N7,559,755.64 while 4 LGEA families the total of N4,638,151.59.
He said the refund of 8 percent contribution is for only one person from the state government which is the sum of N698,052.39.
The executive secretary said the total terminal benefits of November, 2022 to 136 of the state beneficiaries is N333,537,355.39 and N176,543,773.89 to LGC beneficiaries while the Sum of N453,795,776.71 to 213 LGEA beneficiaries.
He said this is what made the total of 474 beneficiaries that received the total of N1,053,876,905.99.
The ES then commended the efforts of the state government under the administration of Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar for ensuring that all pensioners paid on time.
