Oyo distributes 96 laptops to EMIS offices in 33 LGA
The Oyo State Government, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, distributed 96 laptops to offices of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in all 33 Local Government Areas in the State.
The Oyo State Government disclosed this while sharing photos on its X handle, on Monday, January 22.
"The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof AbdulWaheed Adelabu Salihu, while presenting the laptops to the beneficiaries at the Ministry in Ibadan, said that the State Government is working assiduously to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the State.
"Prof Salihu explained that the laptops were being given to EMIS Officers across the State to facilitate the collation of data on out-of-school children under the Better Education Service Delivery for All Additional Financing – Transforming Education Systems at State Level (BESDA AF-TESS) project. The programme is a form of Educational Grant from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) in collaboration with the World Bank. #PacesetterState"
