Over 98,000 Voters Cards  To Be Distributed In Jigawa

Residents Electoral Commissoner(REC) of JIgawa state, Professor, Muhammad Lawal Bashar has flag-up the distribution of a last batch of 98,890 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
 
Speaking shortly after the flaging-up of the PVC distribution, the residents electoral commissoner said the commission has 98,890 PVC ready for distribution in the state.
 
He noted that the commission in the state has 34,636 new incident and 64,254 are old supply that is yet to be collected.
 
Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar said the distribution commenced on 12/12/2022 and will end on 22/01/2023 at all the commission's local government and registration areas in the state.
 
The Residents Electoral Commissoner had objected the JIgawa state governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar claim of allege buying of PVC by politicians in the state.
 
Bashar explained that "I'm not aware of PVC sales and buying in the state. Even it is happening, is going to be as of no use".
 
According to him "with the new voting system and use of BVAS machine it is no possible to some one cast vote with other person voters card (PVC)".
 
The JIgawa state governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar recently in a political rally in Jahun local government of the state alleged that the opposition polical party are buying permanent voters card (PVCs) in the state.
