The Zamfara state House of Assembly has passed the 2024 budget proposal presented to it by the state governor, Dauda Lawan.
In a Press release signed by the press secretary of the House Bello Madaro said, During an Extraordinary plenary session of the house held on Thursday the House had unanimously approved the budget after receiving a report from its Standing Committee on Finance and Appropriation headed by Alhaji Halliru Abdullahi Kuturu.
It Could be recalled that The 2024 Governor Dauda has presented the estimate of over 420 billion naira to the house on 24 of December, which was later handed over its Standing Committee on Finance and Appropriation which has immediately commenced swung into action by inviting ministries, Departments and agencies to defend what was allocated to their areas of responsibilities.
During the defence session, the committee has thoroughly scrutinised the budget proposal and made amendment were necessary.
Heads of ministries, agencies and departments that depended their budget proposal have expressed glad and appreciation to the way and manner the committee members handled the activity.
Shortly after all the MDA's have attended the session on Thursday, the committee report back to the house under the leadership of Ahaji Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki which gave it first and Second Readings on that Day.
