Organization Demands Justice For Magaji Lawal, Imam Hassan Mada, Killed By Suspected ZCPG Members

By Aminu Abdullahii Gusau.

Organization for the Concern of Less Privileged & Displaced Citizens, Zamfara State, has called on Zamfara state government, and commissioner of police in the state to put more effort in ensuring that justice is done to  Lawal Magaji and Imam Hassan Mada who were brutally killed by suspected members of Zamfara Community Protection Guard, (ZCPG) in Tsafe local government of the state.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau by the organisation's chairman, Malan Murtala Ibrahim, saying that the action of the ZCPG is unacceptable.

The statement reads.

As a patriotic citizen and activist for justice, I am writing to commend the Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State for his commitment to investigating the case of Magaji Lawal, who was allegedly killed by suspected members of the Community Protection Guard (CPG).

According to the Commissioner of Police, members of the CPG claimed they did not kill Magaji Lawal. Instead, they alleged that their former Commander, Col. Rabiu Yandoto, was responsible for the killing. The CPG members stated that Col. Yandoto called them, asking if they had arrested Magaji Lawal. When they confirmed they had, Col. Yandoto drove to the scene, took the keys to the cell where Magaji was held, and later emerged to announce that he had completed his work. After Col. Yandoto left, the CPG members discovered Magaji's lifeless body.

The Commissioner of Police emphasized that the former state Commandant of the CPG, Col. Yandoto, has been arrested and is being investigated in connection with Magaji Lawal's death. The Commissioner also clarified that the case is not politically motivated but rather a matter of murder, which will be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted.

Col. Yandoto is a prime suspect in the killing of Late Magaji Lawal Yandoto. He is the former Commander of the CPG who was sacked by the state and is currently under investigation for his alleged role in the murder.

I commend the Commissioner for his commitment to an impartial investigation, unaffected by potential political connections. This dedication to justice is truly commendable.

I urge the Commissioner to continue investigating the killings of innocent people, particularly Iman Hassan Mada. The community needs reassurance that those responsible will be held accountable.

May Allah expose those responsible for killing innocent people. May Col. Yandoto face the full wrath of the law for his alleged role in Magaji Lawal's murder.

I commend the Zamfara State government for sacking Col. Yandoto as Commander of the CPG and urge the state government to ensure that justice is served to the Magaji family.

As a patriotic citizen and activist for justice, I stand in solidarity with the Magaji family and offer my support in their quest for justice. I have assembled a team of lawyers who will assist the family in seeking justice for their loved one.

I commend the Commissioner for his well-done job and assure him of my support in his efforts to ensure justice is served. I will continue to monitor the case and advocate for the rights of the Magaji family.

May justice prevail, and may those responsible for the killing of innocent people be brought to book.

Finally, may Allah restore peace and tranquility in Zamfara State, and in sha Allah, Zamfara may witness the fruits of peace. I call on the people of the state to pray to Allah to end this insecurity bedeviling our beloved state, Zamfara.

Even in death, we will insure that justice is served to the Magaji Lawal and Imam Hassan Mada families.
