Northwest University Sokoto opens admission for 2025/2026 academic session


 
Northwest University, Sokoto has announced the commencement of admission into its various programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
 
The Registrar of the University, Alhaji Umar Mussa Garun Babba, who disclosed this in a statement, said admission is open to qualified candidates into the institution’s fully accredited courses across five faculties and the College of Health Sciences.
 
According to him, available programmes include Medicine (MBBS), Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Physiotherapy, Public Health, and Environmental Health under the College of Health Sciences.
 
The Faculty of Computing and Sciences offers courses such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Mathematics, and Physics with Electronics.
 
Similarly, the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences is admitting into Business Administration, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Mass Communication, Public Relations, and Information and Media Studies.
 
Other programmes available include Library and Information Science, Educational Management, Educational Technology, Special Education, Computer Science Education, and Social Studies Education under the Faculty of Education, while the Faculty of Law runs LLB Law.
 
The Registrar explained that candidates seeking admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) must have chosen Northwest University as their first choice and scored not less than 150 marks in the examination conducted by JAMB.
 
“For direct entry admission, candidates must possess at least an A-level qualification with credit passes,” he added.
