No plan by coalition to dump ADC for ADA – Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi

National Publicity Secretary of the African Democracy Congress (ADC), Bola Abdullahi, has dismissed reports that the opposition coalition members have resolved to dump the party and adopt the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced last week that 14 of the 171 associations seeking registration as political parties, including the ADA, had scaled the first hurdle of the process.

Following this, there were reports in some quarters that the opposition coalition which adopted the ADC in July this year, would finally pitch tent with the ADA when it is finally registered as a political party.

But reacting, Bolaji Abdullahi, told Daily Trust that there is no truth in the rumour, adding that the coalition is committed to making the ADC a truly national democratic party.

“There is no such thing. We have moved on from that. ADC is our party,” Abdullahi replied to the Daily Trust correspondent’s message.
