NIS parades 8 suspected Victims of Human Trafficking in Jigawa

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS)  Jigawa state Command has paraded 8 suspected victims of human trafficking in Jigawa state on Monday.
 
The victims were intercepted by the personnel of NIS along Kaya-Daurawa Roni Link Road, in the state on Sunday.
 
The victims were made up of five (5) male and three (3) females hailed from four (4) states, Abia, Edo, Imo, and Ogun states.
 
The victims are youth aged ratio 19 to 45 years old and only one of them is in possession of an expired Nigerian standard Passport l.
 
The victims includes; Nosa Isaac 45 years of Age, from Edo, Emanuel Ogu 37 years from Imo, Abdulwasiu Oladokun 36 years from Ogun, Blessing John Aged 28 from Abia, Etiosa Henry 24 from Edo, Osagie Francis aged 20 from Edo, Faith Moses 20 years from Edo, and Success Jacob 19 years of age from Abia state.
 
The NIS comptroller in the state Ahmad Dauda Bagari said the victims mostly travel without agent, all transactions are made on phone within the syndicate.
 
He said the victims are mainly influenced by friends and with the knowledge of their parents and guardians.
 
Bagari noted that there are no incriminating items or drugs found in their possession upon interrogation and assured that they will be handed over to NAPTIP for further action.
 
One of the victim's Blessing John from Abia said she was called by her cousin's brother for an unknown business and promised to pay her a huge amount of money.
