The leadership of the Nigerian Senate, under the President of the Senate, His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio, extended warm felicitations to Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, representing Sokoto South Senatorial District, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
The celebration took place at the National Assembly Complex, Three Arms Zone, Abuja, where distinguished senators gathered to honour Senator Tambuwal’s six decades of life, public service, and contributions to national development.
In a goodwill message, Senate President Akpabio described Senator Tambuwal as a seasoned lawmaker, a dedicated public servant, and a pillar of wisdom in the Red Chamber. He offered prayers for Allah’s continued blessings, good health, and many more years of impactful service to the nation.
Senator Tambuwal, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives and the immediate past Governor of Sokoto State, was commended for his exemplary leadership, vast legislative experience, and steadfast commitment to the ideals of democracy and good governance. The event featured goodwill messages, prayers, and a renewed call for unity and service among members of the Senate.
In his response, Senator Tambuwal expressed his appreciation to the Senate leadership and his colleagues, noting that the gesture would go a long way in strengthening unity, cohesion, and mutual support within the Senate and the National Assembly at large.
