Niger Set To Receives Tinubu On An Official Visit Monday
ALL NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN CONCLUDED BY THE NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT TO RECIEVES PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU ON AN OFFICIAL VISIT TOMORROW.
Arrangements have been concluded by the Niger state government to ensure a smooth visit of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu toorrow.
During the visit the President will commission the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport Minna reconstructed run way and the procured agricultural equipments worth billions of naira among others.
State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Hajiya Binta Mamman stated this while addressing Newsmen in Minna on their level of preparedness for the presidential visit.
Hajiya Binta Mamman said that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure a hitch free visit of the president, noting that other projects to be commissioned include the remodelled terminal airport, to lay foundation for Hajji terminal at the airport respectively.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Musa Salihu Bosso reaffirmed the commitment of the present administration of governor Mohammed Umar Bago to lead other states in ensuring food security in the country hence the flagging off of agricultural mechanization programme.
He stated that agricultural revolution remain the cardinal objective of Niger state governor's agenda in which no fewer than 500 tractors are on ground out of 10,000, while 200 power tillers on ground out of 1,000 target just as 6 harvesters are also on ground out of 1,000 anticipated however the planters are yet to arrive as they were all stationed at the Minna airport ready for the commissioning tomorrow
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser on Governance and Reform, Dr Isah Adamu emphasized on the activities of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu's visit that include his tour of the airport project which was renamed after him, symbolic commissioning of agricultural equipments procured as well as the foundation laying of the Hajj terminal at the airport before the president returns to Abuja.
