Niger Lifts Embargo On Employment, Seeks Private Sector, NGOs Collaboration
 

 

Niger State  Government has said that it has lifted the embargo on employment.

 
State Head of Service, Hajiya Salamatu Abubakar, stated this at the Niger state marketplace exhibition for MSMEs organised for the private sector by GIZ in Minna.
 
Hajiya Salamatu Abubakar however directed the state civil service commission to engage the services of specialised categories of applicants in the civil service.
 
She stressed the need for collaboration among the government, private sector and Non-Governmental Organizations to reduce the alarming rate of youth unemployment in the state.
 
Hajiya Salamatu said the state government was making frantic efforts to reduce the widening gap between the gainfully employed youths and those in the labour market through training of the youth in entrepreneurial and skills acquisition programmes.
 
She  added  that the Niger state government equally made a public three years tax holiday for Local , National and International investors willing to invest in the State.
