NHRC To Partner SPDN On Humanitarian Services

The National Human Right Commission NHRC Gombe state office has promised to collaborate with theSearchlight Private Detective of Nigeria(SPDN) on humanitarian services with a view to assisting the poor to fight for their rights.
The state coordinator of the National Human Rights Commission, Barrister Mohamamed Shamsudden Ayuba made the promise when he paid a courtesy visit at the searchlight office in Gombe.
He said the NHRC and Searchlight are working towards the same direction in fighting the rights of vulnerable people.
Shamsudden added that human Rights Commission was established by the federal government and work for the masses free of charge.
He urged victims of human rights violation not to hesitate to come to human right commission and lodge their complaints assuring that the commission will stand for them and fight for their right.
According to him, there are imposters that opened offices disguising as human rights fighters but extort money from unsuspecting public.
In his response, the state controller Searchlight Private Detective of Nigeria (SPDN) Alhaji Rabilu Abubakar, appreciated the human rights commission for identifying with them noting that the NGO was registered with the office of the secretary of the government of the federation and its members were trained on intelligence gathering, crime prevention and control.
He said as private detectives, they assist security on vital information to tackle insecurity and criminality.
"Part of our activities are mediation, alternative dispute resolution and security intelligence surveillance and investigation". He pointed out.
