NEMA DELIVERS HUMANITARIAN RELIEF SUPPORT TO VICTIMS OF MARKET FIRE IN ZAMFARA AND SOKOTO

NEMA Agency Sokoto Operations Office yesterday distributed relief materials to victims of Gusau and Sokoto Market fires that occurred earlier this year.
The Distribution Exercises were conducted simultaneously in both Zamfara and Sokoto States. NEMA, SOO sent two teams to execute the exercise to ensure that every affected person receives his/her relief allocations.
The Head Of Operations, NEMA, Sokoto, Mr. Aliyu Shehu Kafindangi led the Zamfara team to the distribution and flagged off the exercise on behalf of the DG, NEMA, Zubaida Umar. While Head of Search and Rescue Unit, NEMA, Sokoto Operations Office, Mr. Aminu S. Ambursa led the distribution exercise in Sokoto State.
The Distribution Exercises in both Zamfara and Sokoto states were carried out in partnership with Zamfara State Ministry of Humanitarian & Relief Matters, ZEMA and Sokoto State Emergency Management Agency as well as different market unions.
Each victim of the market fire incident received his/her allocation and thanked the Federal Government for not forgetting about them.
