Malami Visits Zuru Emir’s Family, Offers Condolences and Prayers
Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Emir of Zuru, Major General Muhammad Sani Sami (rtd), following the passing of the revered monarch.
Malami, accompanied by a high-powered entourage of political associates, traditional title holders, and community leaders—including Arc Bala Sani Kgw, Alh Abubakar Udu Idris Mani, Hon Shehu Koko (Wamban Koko), Alhaji Faruku Madugu Gwandu, Alh Ibrahim Mango, Alh Aliyu Bature, Abubakar Idris, State Chairman ADC Eng Bala Sufyan, Hon Abdullah Lamba Yauri, Alh Mohd Musa Bayawa, Alh Abdullah Bawale, Bello Mohd, Bar. Nafiu Yakubu Lugga, Hon Dr. Sadiq Saad Fakai, Hon Aminullah Jega, Hon Abubakar Sabo, Garba Musa Ggt, Tukur Hassan Jibi, Umar Mohammed, Zaki Muhammad, Nura Ahmed, Hon Nasiru Danumma, Surajo Sanusi, Hon Sani Ka’ida, Murtala Lawal Gulma, Abubakar Ubale, Hon Barr Aminu Bunza, Hon Yaro Zoro, Abdulazeez Malami, Ahmed Musa Jega, Alhaji Yahaya Koko, Hon Basiru Bala Koko, Alh Muhammad Danyado, Hon Hamidu Damba, Alh Isah Jadadi, Alh Musa Sabolo, Alh Musa Timeri, Alh Abu Kurunkudu, Alh Roro Maiyama, Alh Abdulahi Zarah, Hon Musa Yauri, Hon Saidu Abubakar Wali, Abdulrahman Sahihi, and many other prominent businessmen and politicians—arrived in Zuru to sympathize with the royal family and the people of the emirate over the loss.
Speaking during the visit, Malami described the late Emir as a towering figure who dedicated his life to public service, community development, and the promotion of peace and unity in Kebbi State and Nigeria at large.
“He was a father to all, a bridge-builder, and a man whose wise counsel was always sought on matters of governance and leadership. His demise is a huge loss not just to Zuru Emirate, but to the entire state and nation,” Malami said.
He offered prayers for the repose of the Emir’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give the family, the emirate, and the people of Kebbi State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
