Katsina Government Approved 600 Million For The Acquisition Of 40 Buses


The  Katsina State Executive Council has approved  N600 million for the acquisition of forty  buses by the  State Transport Authority (KTSTA),  to alleviate the challenges faced by its citizens due to the removal of fuel subsidies.

The decision, taken at  the state executive council, aims to mitigate the transport difficulties encountered by the people  due to  fuel subsidy removal.

 Dr. Sani Magaji Ingawa, the Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport, disclosed this  while addressingnewsmen after the meeting presided over by Governor Dikko Umar Radda.

The  Commissioner said the buses were  to serve both intercity and intracity transportation needs, for enhanced mobility and convenience of residents in the
State. 

He said the transport fares for utilizing the buses  would be more affordable, making travel within and beyond the state capital accessible to a wider range of passengers.
