Jigawa Progressive Forum Commend New MD Federal Medical Centre Birnin Kudu

The Jigawa Progressive Forum has commended the new Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre Birnin Kudu, Dr. Adamu Abdullah Atterwahmie over his achievements within a few months of his appointment.
This was contained in a communiqué issued by the forum after its meeting. The statement added that Dr. Atterwahmie succeeded in resuscitating the centre and making it an institution that can compete with any other health institution across the country.
Director, Jigawa Progressive Forum Usman Suleiman Sarki who chaired the meeting said some of the achievements highlighted includes: Promoting a spirit of team work through the coordination of medical, administrative and other sub staff so as to ensure good service delivery in the centre.
He said this has changed the mindset of the staff in terms of discharging their official responsibilities.
Having being a technocrat, Sarki said the Medical Director always operate strictly under the guide of bureaucratic rules and make decisions in line with the civil service rules without putting personal interest, renovation of different structures and facilities such as the fencing wall of the centre, Female Medical Ward, O and G, source of water in the centre among others.
Others were facilitating the completion of projects inherited from the previous administration of the centre, Recruitment of over 200 Medical, Administrative and sub-staff in the centre to address the problem of man power which is critical to the functioning of the centre, Procurement of modern equipments in the laboratories for easy diagnosis of various illnesses, Securing various intervention projects for the centre in an attempt to elevate the centre to a world class level, Payment of all outstanding allowances and other entitlements of staff in the centre to ensure the good welfare of the staff and serve as motivation for them, Making arrangements for the construction of permanent site of the centre, Mounting a school for the commencement of Community Health and other related courses in the centre, Setting up an open door policy for people who are the beneficiaries of the services provided by the centre so that they can suggest on how the services could be improved among others.
Suleiman Sarki then prayed that the Almighty Allah will continue to guide, support and protect the Medical Director and his subordinates in the discharge of their duties and beyond.
He then called on the other MDs to copy from his good administration for the benefit of people.
