Jigawa ASUP Gets New Executives

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) Husaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic Kazaure in JIgawa state had re-elected Comrade Abdul'aziz Ibrahim Badaru as chairman.
Comrade Abdul'aziz Ibrahim Badaru had been re-elected to run the affairs of the union for a second term after defeating M. Nura Abdullahi Yusif with 82 votes during the election.
The election that took place at the Multi purpose Hall of the institution, comrade Badaru scored 82 votes and defeated M. Nura Abdullahi Yusuf with 82 votes who got 77 votes.
Those elected included Dr. Sulayman F Akanbi Vice Chairman, Basiru Abdulsalam General Secretary and Salisu Ayuba as Assistant General Secretary.
Others are Hussaini Abubakar Magaji Treasurer, Jamilu Murtala Financial secretary, Umar illiyasu Welfare Secretary, Tukur Mahmoud Public Relation Officer and Dr. Muktar Hussaini Internal Auditor.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman expressed appreciation to members for giving another mandate and promised more positive performance that will improve the unity, welfare and Academic excellence for the members in the institute.
Badaru maintained that "I appreciate you all for making time, out of your tight schedule to perform one of their civic union responsibilities and praying for journey mercies back to your various destinations".
